Winter Wonderland

I somehow always thought London would be a lovely and romantic city at Christmas time. But, I have to say, this week has been the most stressful week in my three months I've spent here. People are angry and frustrated, and the awful weather doesn't help a thing. However, I've found one place in London you can really lift up that Christmas spirit, and that's Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park.

It's full of amusements and there's also a skating rink! (If you want to empty your wallet for good). But the best place in Winter Wonderland is the Bavarian Village, with live music and amazing atmosphere. Can't wait to go there again after my holidays in Finland! I'm heading for Gatwick tomorrow, and London is not gonna see me for a week ;)

All I want for Christmas

No this is not a letter to Santa, nor to my mom, but I've had these things in my head for so long that I just wanted to shout out loud: I want these!! We'll see, probably not gonna happen. Apart from the winter coat, it's freezing out here! And I thought I'm going to escape all the minus degrees to London... not going to happen. Either. Evenings are already going below zero.
All I want for Christmas

Victoria's Secret zip hoody, £50 / Navy blue coat / Victoria's Secret cotton sleepwear, £31 / Hello Kitty fleece pajamas, £28 / Victoria s secret, £44 / UGG Australia sheepskin boots / MICHAEL Michael Kors michael kors tote bag, £175 / Gucci / Waterford Holiday Heirlooms Jim O'Leary Beaded Lace 5" Ruby Ball..., £59 / Flamant Christmas Ball in Gold, £3.63 / BEAUMONT

I feel really bad not posting the last month! But I've been really busy, and let's face it, really occupied by my weekend activities. (I don't even mention writing on weekdays, that's just impossible with all the laundry in the world) It's really important to discover the nightlife of London so that I can tell you guys where to go! Best places by far:
1. The Penthouse
2. The Aquarium
3. Fabric Nightclub

Having said that, here's some evidence that I've actually been out, not just sitting here on the attic...

 Best French girl evah

Happy hour!!! Almost all drinks are either mine or Clara's...

All this and a stunning view in The Penthouse on Leicester Square.

Little shy riding hood

I have a thing about looking into cameras. The ground is clearly much more interesting :D On my way to nightclubs Amika and Fabric, and it's Halloween weekend!

Earlier today I had some ridiculously delicious macarons. That's all for today really!

Wellies wellies wellies

I've really been too lazy to take pictures lately, not to mention post them... Bad girl. Trying to write something that makes sense, or telling about the last few weeks I've had feels as tempting as wet socks. Been there, done that.
Nail polish called Vintage Vamp from Mac's Marilyn Monroe collection. On top of it I have American Apparel's polish called Meteor Shower.

I needed wellies... desperately. So i decided to go for Hunters! Love them. Didn't love the price.

Random picture from today...

On one of my usual walks on Portobello road I went to the famous Hummingbird bakery and got a red velvet. Yammy.

And I seem to find the happiness I seek

Portobello market introduced me to, or really, reminded me how I really like jazz. Has to do with my roots in ballroom dancing, I'm sure... This post is going to be the mother of all posts :D Beware, all the photos that have been cramming to my camera the past three weeks and have not made their way to a blog post yet, are now squeezed into this one.

First of all, I finally cleaned my room so I can actually show you how it's like... Small, cold but yet very comfy :)

And then, shopping... When I took pictures of my newest items I realized how good I'm at it. I don't remember a day on the weekends that I haven't returned with a bag, box, sack or two... While my closet really hasn't got anything new, I've really been going crazy at the cosmetics department...

All the jewellery is from Portobello market. I feel like doing a post every time after visiting it, but I still don't feel I have the photos that do right for the atmosphere, the amazing vintage and just the feeling of a day off there.

Face products from Body shop, missing a cleanser... decided to buy a whole new set :D the Karma Kream is from Lush, smells amazing and I've already used half the pot... I have to say I've got addicted to natural cosmetics while staying here. I also bought a set of mineral makeup yesterday... and I love it!

Most of the products I filmed on top of this, a vest from GAP. The Marie Claire has been hanging on my floor for two weeks now, maybe would be the time to actually read it...

A makeup bag from Ted Baker, cute isn't it :3

This stuff really is magical, it exfoliates your skin leaving it brighter, softer and at least on my skin, three years younger.

I've heard a lot of Aveda's Invati shampoo and conditioner, they're supposed to thicken your hair and make it healthier. If you'd see the amount of hair I'm loosing, you'd understand why I decided to give it a try...

And now to the more random pictures...

Little Venice, Warwick Avenue

On my way to St. Paul's Cathedral, got a little wave from the Queen herself!

St. Pau'ls Cathedral, where Diana got married (fun fact. lol.)

I accidentally participated in a Saturday service, (don't ask me how, I don't know) and lit up a candle.

Piccadilly Circus by night :)

I will.

Oh baby baby it's a wild world

Last weekend I went to Borough Market, filled with food and drinks from Spain to London.

Bought some real ice tea, yammy :)

Something quite extraordinary, the lady is making juice out of grass...

Rainy day

The London honeymoon is over, it's raining. After two weeks of sunshine this was more than expected...

My two weeks of tourism

Warning, the following post contains a lot of photos [Click them!]. // Saanen varoittaa, tämä postaus sisältää paljon, paljon kuvia. [Klikatkaa isommaksi]

I've drank lot's of coffee, mostly in my two favorite cafés, Costa and Starbucks. After realizing there's almost 200 calories in one single latte, I switched to Americano.... The carrot cake was still a must xD // Kahvia on kyllä tullut juotua ehkä liikaakin! Starbucksissa silmäilin kahvilistaa ja tajusin että yhdessä lattessa on lähes 200 kaloria...vaihdoin Americanoon :D porkkanakakkuun oli silti sorruttava...

In a tourist shop called Cool Britannia I found maybe the cutest car ever. It made me miss my own little Chevrolet too ;( //Turistikaupasta nimeltä Cool Britannia löysin ehkä maailman söpöimmän auton! Ja tuli kyllä ikävä omaakin Chevyä ;(

I've already visited Camden Town two times, I just can't get enough of it's atmosphere. //Camden Townissa on tullut vierailtua jo muutaman kerran, en vaan saa tarpeekseni sen ilmapiiristä ja loputtomista kojuista! Luultavasti kuuluu taas ensi viikonlopun ohjelmaan...

Last weekend I visited National Gallery on Trafalgar Square, which wasn't really my cup of tea. The only painting I recognized among hundreds was the Sunflowers of Van Gogh. //Trafalgar Squarella kävin National Galleryssä, mutta ei ollut ihan mun juttu noi historialliset maalaukset... Ainoana sadoista tunnistin Van Goghin Auringonkukat.

In Covent Garden you can enjoy live performers, the atmosphere of a marketplace, and little shops like Lush, which I'm in love with. The Olympics are still everywhere! Ps. those must be the most flexible 50+ men ever.

We found some Finnish liquorice in Camden. From American Apparel I bought three new nail polishes in colors Supernova, Meteor Shower and Manhattan Beach :)//Löydettiin Sonjan kanssa Pandan lakua Camdenissa sijaitsevasta terveyskaupasta :) Pakkohan sitä oli ostaa... American Apparelista mukaan tarttui kolme kynsilakkaa.

Last but not least, a slideshow from today, my favorites from Madame Tussauds with Sonja // Näin loppuun lempparini tämänpäiväisestä retkestä Madame Tussaudsiin Sonjan kanssa.
